UvaFest 2007

so the first annual UvaFest was awesome and jam-packed with adventure! first, we had a race in honor of papa uva. i strolled around the short block with mom and everyone else ran the long block. my dad ran very fast and came in first (go dad!) uncle mike, auntie liz, zia monet, nadir (who let me honk! his nose later — cool!), and jen brady did a great job running too:


mostly, i hung out with my glamorous cousin, sophia. i think she might take after zia lucia:


sophia has some pretty good toys (love the rings!) and luckily, she also liked sharing:


then, we decided to celebrate mom and dad's july birthdays with cake. mmmm:


and then we just hung out, talked, and ate a lot of yummy food with friends and family. it was very wonderful and fun. it is no wonder that i practically slept the whole way home. we uvas know how to have a good time:

wet, hot american summer vacation

i just spent part of my first july in south carolina. it was hot, i hated the sand and i hated the ocean. but i loved the pool, hanging out with my aunties and my parents and gramma and grandpa and my future uncle bob. also, i learned how to do a really good "high five" and to kick water in the pool. not to mention that i am a very speedy crawler. i've got mad skills. watch out.

first fourth
